DOT Express and our Northern New South Wales/Queensland Agents have been closely monitoring the aftereffects of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred in South East Queensland and Far Northern New South Wales.

Latest advice for the Bureau of Meteorology is that the widespread heavy rain has now eased to showers and isolated thunderstorms for south-east Queensland and northern New South Wales.

Although rainfall over the past week has produced significant flooding across both states, and some Flood Warnings remain current, the major transport corridors of the Warrego Highway, and the Cunningham have reopened.

Conditions will continue to ease in coming days, with calmer and drier conditions expected into the second half of this week.

Therefore, DOT Express and our Agents are moving back to a โ€˜business as usualโ€™ model as quickly and safely as we can, working hard to deliver any outstanding freight as quickly as possible.
