DOT Express and our Northern New South Wales/Queensland Agents have been closely monitoring potential impacts of Tropical Cyclone (TC) Alfred as it continues to move towards South East Queensland.

Latest advice for the Bureau of Meteorology and our Federal and State Government Agencies indicates that TC Alfred is a category 2 system, is 335km east of Brisbane and 310km east-north-east of the Gold Coast and is moving towards the south-east Queensland coast.

Alfred is forecast to maintain category 2 intensity as it approaches the south-east Queensland coast on Thursday and is expected to cross the coast early Friday morning, most likely between Maroochydore and Coolangatta.
